In 2005, I returned to the small seaside community where I grew up,

building a house for my family on this land nestled between the ocean and the bay. 

From the moment we discovered this hidden sanctuary, we spent endless hours

exploring the lake and forest that became our home. 

It was a place of peace, and we happily shared it with our family and friends.

As children grew, I began welcoming overnight guests who were seeking a quieter vacation on the Cape. 

In 2011, I opened a spacious and separate lake-view loft above my garage, 

and in the summer of 2025, I finished building an idyllic guest cottage - right next door.

Over the years this land has evolved into a nourishing retreat - a place to pause and reconnect. 

Many hands have shaped these spaces  - to sit, swim, create,

and to wander across acres of pine forest surrounding the clear spring-fed lake.

 

We continue to find joy in dreaming up new spaces to share with others, 

and have gratitude for the countless stories of renewal and restoration

from all of those who have come to Haven.  

Our hope is that our guests feel at home when they arrive,

and leave with a lighter heart,

a spirit of peace, and memories that linger long.
